Save the Date - May 28th!
On May 28th we our holding our Second Annual #GirlsWithGameYYC clinic for girls aged 4-16 to experience what its like to play baseball and meet other girls with the same ambitions. You will get to meet current and past female baseball players as well as learn the FUNdamental skills to be able to play, and the best part is, you get an opportunity to see all the possibilities there is to play on a team of girls. Last year we had over 110 Girls - so help us spread the word and lets make this years event even bigger!
Registration for the 2023 #GirlsWithGame Clinic will open on February 1st - which just so happens to be International Women and Girls in Sport Day! You can find more details as we release them on our GirlsWithGame page - or follow GWG on Facebook and Instagram!
Expanded Age Brackets - Minors and Above
Want to play now, but not sure if your daughter is ready to move up to the next level? Centennial Little League is now offering expanded age brackets for Minors and above, where your daughter can play up to one year overage in a division. This choice is OPTIONAL and is to be selected during the registration process and is only available for girls.
Ages:
- Minors: 9, 10 and 11 year olds
- Majors: 11, 12 and 13 year olds
- Juniors: 13, 14 and 15 year olds
- Seniors: 15, 16 and 17 year olds
- Please note that all Little League Age Brackets (September-August) still apply
There are specific registration forms for All-Girls teams and mixed gender options have the expanded age bracket, please make sure you select the correct one when registering. At this point, this only applies to Spring Ball as we are working with Little League Alberta to allow the same age brackets for Summer Ball. If you wish to participate in any of the Little League World Series Tournament Options (Juniors AAA, Seniors AAA and possibly Majors AAA Summer), unfortunately you MUST participate in the regular age bracket as defined by the Little League Rule Book.
All-Girls Team Options
The option of an All-Girls team started at Centennial in the 2021 season with a single team in Rookie Ball. It grew to 3 teams in 2022 (1 each in T-Ball, Rookie Ball and Minors) and is being carried over into the 2023 season! We are offering this option in T-Ball, Rookie Ball, Minors and National League for the 2023 Season! When you are registering please select the All-Girls option for the correct age bracket.
There is also the potential expansion of boundaries across North Calgary for All-Girls teams - meaning we may be able to accept girls from across North Calgary and area to participate in All-Girls Teams. Please watch our Facebook and Instagram for updates!
All-Girls team options in all age groups where offered is pending registration numbers - so make sure you get your firneds to sign up!
