Good Afternoon all you T-Ball and Rookie Ball players and families!
The purpose of this message is to inform you all that after considerable discussion and investigation we have decided that we unfortunately will not be proceeding forward with the T-ball and Rookie Ball (formerly called Machine Pitch) 2020 Season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A large part of our decision in this matter was influenced by the plurality of members who responded to our previous questionnaire with the desire to not have the 2020 season due to the risks associated. We do appreciate the engagement that our members have chosen to provide us, and we spent considerable time discussing all the aspects and feedback provided - so thank you very much for that!
We wanted to take a moment to highlight the options that you all have regarding your 2020 Registrations. Before we provide that information we wanted to stress that if you could please read the options in full and complete the linked questionnaire to provide us with your desires on handling your 2020 registration(s). We will process all the responses to the form before any individual emails. The form allows us to more efficiently handle the 200+ responses in an effective and timely manner and we appreciate your understanding with this.
Your first option would be to have your registration transferred to the 2021 Season. If you choose this option your child/children will be "moved" to the 2021 season in our registration software. You will also be given the choice of having your Volunteer Fee refunded this year - or carried over to 2021. If you choose to have your registration and volunteer fee forwarded to next season there will be nothing for you to do for next season. If you chose to transfer your registration, but have your volunteer fee refunded - you will be required to provide a volunteer fee payment next year when registration opens. Additionally should you choose either of the above - and you and your child/children change your minds about playing in 2021 you will be able to have your registration refunded under the same terms as below. Another note all Volunteer Fee refunds will not be subjected to any withhold as outlined below.
Your second option would be to have your registration refunded, less a $20 administrative fee to cover costs that we can not recoup as part of your registration for this season (Credit Card Processing, licensing, etc..). A point for consideration by our members is that Centennial Little League has already incurred costs associated with the 2020 season that we will not receive back from various vendors for services already rendered. Some of these services include but are not limited to credit card processing for fees/dues, registration software licenses, facility bookings, etc... The Board has made every effort to assign all costs we could to be paid by our Casino Fund in order to limit the exposure to our membership. However not all of these costs can legally be covered by this fund. As CLL is a non-profit association, we will need to pass along these costs to our membership as a "hold-back" from your dues paid should you choose the refund option offered below.
Additionally, if you have multiple children registered, and your answer differs per child (You want a refund for one, but you want the other one transferred) please respond to the questionnaire multiple times for each child/group of children.
We will be collecting answers to this questionnaire until August 15th. Any Refund processing will begin shortly after that and may take some time due to controls and limitations on our software with respect to refunds that are built in to avoid fraudulent behaviour.
We would also like to remind you that all CLL Board Members are volunteers and we are continuing to do our best to address everyones concerns in a timely manner. Thank you for your understanding and patience - and we look forward to hearing from all of you.
Should you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to email us. As a reminder we would appreciate that any and all refund or transfer requests be submitted via the form so they can all be handled in an efficient and timely manner.
